A twelve-day step challenge run by Make-A-Wish Ireland and powered by GoChallenge. Teams walk together, and their effort helps grant wishes for children with critical illnesses.

Any workplace in Ireland. Colleagues, friends and family can all join a team.

30 November to 11 December. Sign-up closes on 20 November.

Players earn a star for each day they hit their step goal. Each team's star count is averaged by team size, so smaller teams compete on equal terms with bigger ones. The team with the highest average wins. There will be spot prizes along the way, plus a grand prize for the overall winning team.

Teams need a minimum of 8 people (up to 20). If you're short, invite friends and family to make up the numbers.

Yes. Larger groups split into several teams, for example by department or office.

You can set your own goal, but we recommend challenging yourself to at least 8,000 a day. If you'd like to take part but need special accommodations, contact support@gochallenge.com.

Through the GoChallenge app. You can connect most fitness trackers to it, including Apple Health, Health Connect, Garmin, Samsung Health and Fitbit. You don't need a wearable, as nearly all phones have built-in step tracking.

€25 + VAT per person, charged once your roster is final.

The €25 covers the GoChallenge platform: the leaderboard, wearable connections, a human Success Coach, comms to roll the challenge out to your team, and social media exposure. Donations are separate and go directly to Make-A-Wish Ireland.

You can remove team members yourself. If your teams are locked, email support@gochallenge.com and we'll remove people individually. The final date for adding people is 20 November.

Each team gets its own iDonate page with a fundraising target of €800. Donations go directly to Make-A-Wish Ireland.

It's a suggested target, not a requirement. There's no one right way to get there: players can donate themselves, ask friends, family or colleagues, or your company can contribute.

Yes, and we encourage it as a gesture of goodwill, but it isn't compulsory. Another option is to top up any shortfall at the end to reach the €800 target.

Donations to Make-A-Wish Ireland qualify for tax relief under the normal rules for charitable donations in Ireland.

The organiser sets up the team, then shares one link. You can send it by email using our invitation tool, or share it yourself. We also have posters with QR codes you can display.
